Join us from October 5th to October 9th, at the inspirED 2020 conference. Three tracks with sessions run in parallel at the same time. You can choose sessions as per your liking and preference. These will be available for viewing through Facebook live or YouTube live. You can choose either option. Session description

An author and third-term parliamentarian, in a career that has included a stint in the Ministry for Human Resource Development, Dr. Shashi Tharoor has been an outspoken advocate for wide-ranging reforms in India's education sector, particularly with a view towards developing a more equitable and quality-oriented ecosystem of learning for our students. In his talk, Dr. Tharoor will focus on existing challenges in the education space, solutions as well as share his perspectives on the New Education Policy and the opportunities and limitations of this guiding policy framework.

Power of Teacher Education: Quality at Scale: A Case Study of CM Rise

Session description 

Scale in India takes on a completely different dimension than in most other countries. With 1.6 million government schools, the challenge to improve the quality of public schooling is immense.  During this session, we discuss Peepul’s support for the CM Rise programme in Madhya Pradesh, which pioneered digital teacher training for 300,000 government teachers across 100,000 schools, and we discuss their plans for holistic teacher development across the states of MP and Delhi.

Delivering a holistic education through PPP model

Session description 

The PPP model in India has been tried in a number of states, in different shapes and sizes. The PPP in Delhi began in 2015 with Ark’s first school in India.  During this session, we will discuss Peepul’s exemplar schools and their approach towards holistic education. Learning outcomes in the exemplar schools are 8-10 times higher than comparator government schools for Hindi and Maths, and 15 times higher for English. Listen in to understand what is done differently to ensure children are receiving a quality education that is on par with private schools
